New Fundraising Training opportunity

I was really interested by talk of a new fundraising qualification. Fundraising Recruitment and its partners are saying that the profession has no entry-level qualifications and their aim is to put that situation right.

Rupert Tappin, quoted on The fundraising.co.uk website, (http://www.fundraising.co.uk/2007/05/02/uk039s-firstever-entrylevel-fundraising-training-programme-launched/ ) said that he was surprised that all the training and qualifications in fundraising are aimed at people already working in the profession: that means that it is difficult for someone with no experience or training to advance.

The Foundation in Fundraising certificate seems very comprehensive with its 15 modules + a summer school, and it could be an excellent solution for small charities who want to recruit new staff and train them, or retrain existing staff currently in non-fundraising roles.
